Meal Planning and Intuitive Eating

I hope you all had a great weekend! The sun was shining and the grills were grillin'
For my family summer is a time to slow downBUT I have found that maintaining some structure is important especially when it comes to eating and meals. Without some sort of "plan" for the week I find myself at the grocery store almost daily! I really hate going to the grocery store more than once a week.

So, we created a simple meal plan guide to help you "plan" out your meals during these slow summer months. The meal plan guide will help you plan ahead basic meals and write a corresponding grocery list.


"How can you meal plan and be Intuitive Eating.  I thought Intuitive Eating was eat whatever you want?"


Yes! You can eat whatever and whenever you want but intuitive eating is so much more than just that! Meal planning allows you to have the foods you like available so that you can eat foods that are enjoyable and satisfying.

Here are a few benefits of meal planning for Intuitive Eating:

  • Meal planning helps you to have foods you LIKE available.  When you have foods you enjoy available, it's easier to honor your hunger cues.

  • Meal Planning allow you, for the most part, to bring pleasure and satisfaction into your meals.  You can intentionally plan to have foods you actually enjoy eating.

  •  Meal Planning helps with variety. I don't know about you but I tend to eat the same foods day in and day out. Meal planning helps us expand our options and go beyond the usual. Add some fun to our plate.
